Recently, a series of photos from a wedding between a Vietnamese groom and an American bride, held in a unique cave in Quang Ninh, unexpectedly went "viral" on social media. Immediately, this cave became a sought-after destination, with many tourists eager to visit and check in due to its vibrant, picturesque setting.
This popular check-in spot is Vung Duc Cave (also known as Vung Duc Cave Tourist Area), part of the Vung Duc Historical Relic and Scenic Area complex (Cam Dong Ward, Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province), located 45km northeast of Ha Long City.

The wedding of the Vietnamese groom and American bride, held in Vung Duc Cave, caused a social media "storm."
Vung Duc Cave is situated on the shores of Bai Tu Long Bay, surrounded by the Ban Co mountain range, offering beautiful natural scenery that captivates visitors.
Since the Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road, with a total length of 18.7km and a six-lane design, became operational, traveling to Vung Duc Cave has become much more convenient for tourists, both by land and by sea.
Traveling along this route, tourists have the opportunity to admire unique landscapes, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other. At the end of the road, where it meets Ben Tau Street in Cam Pha City, visitors turn towards Vung Duc and travel about 1km further to reach the cave of the same name.

From Vung Duc Cave, visitors can enjoy expansive views of the beautiful Bai Tu Long Bay stretching out before them.
Vung Duc Cave comprises a system of five interconnected caves: Thien Dang Cave, Long Van Cave, Ngo Ngang Cave, Kim Quy Cave, and the largest, Cung Dinh Cave (also known as Bat Cave).
The caves are distributed from lower to higher elevations; for some, visitors must climb hundreds of stone steps to reach the entrance.
Since 1999, the site has also been equipped with elevators, lighting systems, and improved cave entrances to facilitate convenient exploration and experiences for visitors.

The interior of the Vung Duc cave system is relatively flat, making it very convenient for visitors to explore and discover.
The first stop for visitors at the Vung Duc Cave tourist area is Thien Dang Cave, located 46m above sea level. It features five interconnected entrances, with two serving as entry and exit points. In the center of the cave is a spacious, flat area adorned with vibrant stalactites, and a cluster of hanging stone lamps illuminates the cave ceiling.
To reach this point, visitors can enter from the main entrance or follow the mountainside path. Inside the cave, soft, flowing stone curtains hang down, notably a thick layer of shimmering silver stalactites that, when illuminated by light, enhance the cave's dazzling and mystical beauty.

The myriad rock formations within the cave impress visitors, inviting them to imagine various unique shapes and figures.
The next stop is Long Van Cave, situated at an elevation of approximately 50m above sea level. Inside, the cave is divided into two branches, upper and lower. It features diverse and intriguing rock formations, allowing visitors to freely imagine shapes like elephants, swans, bells, lotus pedestals, and more.
In the center of the cave is a large stalactite column connecting the ceiling to the floor. This stalactite features numerous patterns, such as a dragon's head and a stone musical instrument. Notably, during its natural formation, a circular shape resembling an emblem is affixed to the middle of the column, giving the cave's interior the magnificent appearance of a grand palace.

The caves here were formed alongside the geological history of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay (approximately 150 million years ago).
Exiting Long Van Cave and following the main path, visitors will reach Kim Quy Cave and Ngo Ngang Cave.
At the very end of this cave system lies Cung Dinh Cave, the largest of them all, serving as a magnificent event venue capable of accommodating up to 1,000 people. Here, visitors also have the opportunity to savor delicious dishes prepared from Quang Ninh's famous local seafood.
The entrance fee for the Vung Duc Cave tourist area (including all 5 caves) is 120,000 VND per person (for adults and children over 1.4m tall) and 60,000 VND per person (for children between 1m and 1.4m tall).

Visitors can explore Vung Duc Cave year-round. Especially during summer, the cave's interior is refreshingly cool, offering a pleasant and invigorating experience for tourists.
The tour route through the five caves takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Many visitors who have explored Vung Duc Cave remark on the numerous beautiful and uniquely shaped stalactites and stalagmites within, inviting endless imagination.
Formed over millions of years of geological processes, the caves have retained their pristine, wild, and majestic beauty. Throughout the cave system, soft, winding curtains of stalactites display intricate and skillfully carved patterns.

A multi-colored lighting system, combined with the diverse shapes of the stalactites and stalagmites, creates a mysterious and ethereal ambiance within the caves.
From certain vantage points within the cave system, visitors can also witness panoramic views from above, extending their gaze to the undulating islands of Bai Tu Long Bay.
Since the Vung Duc Historical Relic and Scenic Area is located right next to Vung Duc pier, visitors have the opportunity to combine their trip with visits to several islands and tourist areas within Bai Tu Long Bay, such as Ba Mun National Park, The Vang Island, Cong Tay Island tourist area, The Vang Island eco-tourism area, or explore more distant islands like Quan Lan and Co To.
