Ngoc Que temple festival in Thai Binh Time: 8/8 lunar calendar Ngoc Que Temple Festival takes place annually on the 8th day of the 8th lunar month, in Ngoc Que village, Quynh Hoa commune, Quynh Phu, Thai Binh. Ngoc Que Temple is located on a land in the north of Ngoc Que village, Quynh Hoa commune, Quynh Phu, Thai Binh. The temple is located close to the foot of the Luoc river dike, from the temple relics to the Chien River about 500m. In 1990, this temple was ranked as a national historical monument by the State. According to the book "Quynh Coi Diem Chi" was written by Ngo Vi Lien in 1982, Ngoc Que Temple is the place to worship Do Huyen - who had great merit in erasing foreign invaders under the 18th Hung Vuong. To commemorate Do Huyen, the people here set up his temple and religious him to become the Emperor of the village.  After many years of ups and downs, the temple relics somewhat degraded. Until 2007, agencies at all levels of the Party, authorities, and local people worked far away from home, raised money to build and renovate the temple to be more spacious. Ngoc Que Temple now has some main architecture such as: Tam Qua Gate, Tuong Church, Harem, Bai Duong, Guest House. In particular, the temple and harem court are two architectures that retain many typical architectural features for the Nguyen style. The entire road under the roof of the front porch is carved with stylized leaves that look very beautiful.  In Ngoc Que temple, there are still many artifacts and air of high value such as: the throne, 5 pairs of couplets painted with golden cards, 1 non -statue of Do Huyen, 4 great pictures, 1 diaphragm, 2 sets of sluice palanquin, 1 pair of mosaic puzzles .... Every year, on August 8, the people where they are jubilantly opened the festival to offer the village tutelary. The association has two parts, the festival and the ceremony. The festival includes many games such as: Lion dance procession, chess, male and female, folk dance, earth artillery.
